BAKING INSTUCTIONS

Baking and heating instructions for Mama B’s Jamaican Patties, tailored for air fryers, convection ovens, regular ovens, and microwaves to ensure they’re crispy, hot, and delicious—just like Mama intended!

🔥 Air Fryer Instructions (Best for Crispiness!)

For Frozen Patties:

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.

Place patties in the basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd).

Bake for 12–15 minutes

Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).

Let cool slightly before serving. Careful—filling will be hot!

🔥 Convection Oven Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) on convection setting.

Place patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Internal temp should reach 165°F (74°C).

🔥 Regular Conventional Oven Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place patties on a baking sheet (no need to grease).

Bake for 25–28 minutes, flipping once halfway.

Let sit 2 minutes before serving—filling will be hot!

⚡ Microwave Instructions (Quickest Method)

Note: Microwave heating won’t give the crust that signature flaky crunch, but it works in a pinch.

Place one patty on a microwave-safe plate.

Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes (depending on your microwave’s wattage).

Let rest for 1 minute before eating.

🧠 Crunch Hack: Microwave for 1 minute, then crisp up in a hot pan or toaster oven for 2–3 minutes!

✅ Tips for All Methods:

  • Always heat from frozen unless otherwise stated.

  • Use a thermometer if unsure—165°F (74°C) is your magic number.

  • Let patties rest before biting—no one likes molten filling on the roof of their mouth!
